#Il Cinema Ritrovato On Tour |
Il Cinema Ritrovato On Tour–Minneapolis will feature recently restored archival films at The Main Cinema from May 11–13, 2023. Presented in partnership by Archives on Screen, Twin Cities, the Film Society of Minneapolis/St. Paul, and Cineteca di Bologna, the festival will screen eleven highlights from Il Cinema Ritrovato’s 2022 lineup.
Il Cinema Ritrovato on Tour at University of New Hampshire has come to its fifth edition, a five-day festival that will take place from March 27th to 31st at the Memorial Union Building Theater II in Durham.
A truly unique programme that still aims to pay the right tribute to the history of cinema with exclusive restorations and introductions, thanks to the constant collaboration between Cineteca of Bologna and UNH. The complete list of the screenings is available on the official website.
Il Cinema Ritrovato goes on tour in the United States!
From March 9th to 13th, some of the best films from last year's edition return to the School of Languages, Literatures & Cutlures at the University of Maryland. The full programme can be read here.
From March 3rd to 25th, The Best of Il Cinema Ritrovato returns to the University of Wisconsin with a huge selection of restorations. The full programme can be found here.

Dal 19 ottobre al 20 dicembre, Il Cinema Ritrovato sbarca a Istanbul con un piccolo programma realizzato a partire dai contributi della Cineteca di Bologna e del Centro Italiano di Cultura di Istanbul, 6 di 37 film selezionati dalla sezione "Ritrovati e Restaurati":

In the festival programme the new restoration of The Color of Pomegranates by Sergei Parajanov will be screened. The film has been restored by Cineteca di Bologna/L'Immagine Ritrovata laboratory and The Film Foundation's World Cinema Project, in association with the National Cinema Centre of Armenia and Gosfilmofond of Russia. Restoration funded by the Material World Charitable Foundation.
Cinema Rediscovered returns for its sixth edition in and around Bristol UNESCO City of Film from Wednesday 20th – Sunday 24th July 2022, celebrating the return of the big screen experience with a line-up of movie magic, from brand new restorations and rediscoveries to film curiosities before going on a UK wide tour from Aug – Oct 2022 with the support of MUBI and BFI awarding funds from National Lottery.
The programme features Chess of the Wind, restored in 4K by Cineteca di Bologna in collaboration with The Film Foundation's World Cinema Project.

Il Cinema Ritrovato on Tour at University of New Hampshire has come to its fourth edition, a seven-day festival that will take place from March 25th to 31st at The Music Hall in Portsmouth and the MUB Theaters of the UNH in Durham.
Il Cinema Ritrovato on Tour arrives at the University of Maryland: a first edition that will take place on March 18th, 2022 at the Old Greenbelt Theater in Greenbelt.
The ninth edition of Il Cinema Ritrovato on Tour (Rediscovered Cinema on Tour) will take place from March 10 to March 12, 2022 at the Granoff Center for the Arts, Providence.
The Classics Restored Festival is renewed for a third edition from 4 to 13 March 2022. Cineteca di Bologna will attend with a beautiful recovered version of Accattone by Pier Paolo Pasolini, restored at L'Immagine Ritrovata laboratory.

"Cinema Reborn is intended to shine a light on the long history of the art of the cinema, the world-wide activity of film restoration and the treasures that exist in the world’s film archives". Cinema Reborn festival will take place from May 2nd to May 6th in Sydney, Australia. This year programme will include two masterpieces restored by Cineteca di Bologna's laboratory L'Immagine Ritrovata: Memorias del Subdesarrollo by Tomás Gutierrez Alea (Memories of Underdevelopment, Cuba/1968) and Carosello Napoletano by Ettore Giannini (Neapolitan Carousel, Italia/1954).
Cineteca di Bologna will present a selection of its new restorations and movies from the festival in some American cities.

For the fifth consecutive year, Cineteca will present a selection of its recent restorations in the Cinerecobrado Festival in Valparaiso (Chile), October 16th-20th.
The restored version of Rapsodia Satanica by Nino Oxilia will be presented during the Made in Italy festival, at the LaFrak Concert Hall of the Queens College in New York, on October 18th.
