Film Notes

Valentin, son of a notary public, has fallen in love with Yvette, the little pianist from the fifth floor. However, his parents object to the marriage: “Marry an artist? What lunacy!” In the meantime, the notary’s maid quits her job. Valentin tells Yvette immediately, who agrees to present herself as the replacement and is hired. Once on the job, she shows herself to be so considerate and attentive to her new employers that she soon enters into their good graces…
