Film Notes

In 1910 the féerie genre metamorphosed into the costume film. A betrothal, a rococo garden party, a game of hide-and-seek. The bride finds herself in a secret chamber in the castle ruins: the door closes. We see the image in a book change into a screen and past crimes appear in living pictures.
