Film Notes

Naum Kleiman: Eisenstein said that he and Tissé were shooting in Mexico City when the earthquake hit Oaxaca in 1930. They were asked to make the documentary, so they left immediately, shooting first from the plane and then on site. The film was released in theaters two days later.
