Film Notes

A live-action figure slaps up a poster, and we speed away on painted celluloid, synchronised to a jazz classic, Bugle Call Rag. The film was released in the summer of 1940, and formed part of the British Government’s campaign to curb what was called “careless talk” and the accidental feeding of information to Hitler’s spies. Unfortunately there never was a Musical Poster No 2.
