Film Notes

An old vagabond goes to a farm asking for a place to sleep for the night. They kick him out. He continues on his way, until he arrives at the last farm in town and repeats the same question. He meets refusal once again, but the daughter of the farmer notes a sad expression on the old man’s face and insists with her father, convincing him to host the vagabond for the night. All the farmhands sit around the table. It’s time to eat. The old man also has his portion. After dinner, everyone goes to bed. The vagabond goes to sleep in the attic. […] In the middle of the night, a strange individual sneaks onto the farm.
