With this and three other films, Kri-Kri broke every record of weekly programming. When this film was released in July 1913, La Cine-Fono criticized it, saying it was only a “foolish copy of a scene from Santarellina [Ambrosio, 1912]”, and unleashing a hard polemic with Frau.
