Film Notes

Gribouillette, the daughter of a fat Normandy land agent, has four suitors: a fireman, a land agent, the clerk of a notary office and Boireau the stable boy who is the only who has managed to win her heart. But Gribouillette’s father, who dreams a good match for his daughter, won’t listen to reason. It’s the three other suitors who have his support. But it will be Boireau, disguised as a peasant woman who will stand for Gribouillette and will receive, in his way, her suitors.
