Film lessons

Il Cinema Ritrovato is a cinephile’s paradise because it’s the only festival in the world where five hundred masterpieces are shown on screens in front of a true international audience in one week.
But it is also an extraordinary meeting place, where one can listen to great directors, Landis, Hill, Amelio, Rohrwacher, a true icon like Stefania Sandrelli or to a producer, talent scout and passionate cinephile like Philippe Bober who has just won the Palme d’Or with Östlund’s film; or to the director of the Cannes Film Festival and the Institut Lumière, Thierry Frémaux as well as Deborah Nadoolman, costume designer for The Blues Brothers and Raiders of the Lost Ark, or Michel Ciment, legendary editor in chief for Positif.
Additionally, the festival will feature great historians giving lectures on Ludwig, La Regle du jeu, Sciuscià, Yugoslavian cinema, the origins of vampire cinema and Nanook of the North.
Finally, we will introduce and assign the brand new Boarini Awards, dedicated to those who fight, at an international level, for the preservation and dissemination of film heritage.
