Film Notes

Wartime shortages of meat led the way to new delicacies in British cooking, including vegetable pie. Suitable recipes were published in newspapers and leaflets, and also, in this case, turned into a film. The assignment might have made another director despair, but Len Lye and his technical team produced an aural and visual delight.
