Film Notes

Beautiful Virginia is the daughter of Virginio, a centurion. When her father has to go to war, Virginia is left in the care of her fiancée Giulio, a young tribune of the people. However, Virginia’s graces are also the object of desire of Appio Claudio, one of the decemvirs. The latter speaks of his love with his friend Marco, and sends expensive gifts to Virginia, who however refuses them; when he tries to embrace her anyway, he is caught and thrown out by Giulio…
