Film Notes

In 1945, in San Francisco, the United Nations charter was signed so that populations destroyed by war could find dignity and equality. The delegates of the member states work within a framework of international cooperation and are elected democratically with the objective of rebuilding a shattered world. In 1946, Spaak inaugurated the first general assembly, and each delegate made a speech, expressing their hopes for this new organization.
