Film Notes

Shooting of The Magician of Athens began in 1922 with the original title The Gypsy Woman of Athens. This film was never completed but parts of it were incorporated in the final version of The Magician of Athens, which was screened for the first time in 1931. It is the story of a magician violinist whose charm women just can’t resist. Some sequences are hand coloured.
