Film Notes
Until very recently the only known print of this, the first of Capellani’s thrillers, was a very poor Pathé Kok version. But, thanks to research into Capellani by various people and institutions, new materials have now emerged; though there was not enough time for a comprehensive restoration. We are grateful to the Cinémathèque Française for providing us with a workprint of the best and longest of these elements.
