Film Notes

Emilie Sannom (1886-1931) was a Danish daredevil, and whether beneath the water or in the air, on a wire or the sail of a windmill, she was always fearless and athletic. Her dresses and flowery hats suffered from every ordeal imaginable: climbing, abseiling, the improbable chasing of a cowboy all the way to a submarine, acrobatics on a plane in full flight. This cool actress has remained in the memory of Danish cinema as the “death-dodger”. The compilation is made ups from: Pigen Fra hidalgo fyret (1914), Dilligencekusken fra San Hilo (1914), Zigo (1914), For Barnets skyld (1915), Panopta 2 (1918), Panopta 4 (1919); the Parachute scenes from La fanciulla dell’aria (I 1923).
