This film is a case-story/romantic drama about a medical professor (Psilander) who suffers a nervous breakdown following a traumatic accident and the loss of his beloved wife. Insanity takes hold of him and as he has become a threat to his surroundings he is sent to a rest home. Even his psychiatrist, Professor Jung (!), does not succeed in curing him, but in the end he is saved by the girl who loves him. The action in this psychological drama is supplied by some spectacular fire scenes.
