Film Notes
One of several films directed by Jean Durand which starred Joé Hamman, the most notable star of the early French Western: this time a gold-mining drama. When gold is discovered the first man there gets to stake his claim. Joé and another man race each other, which involves a thrilling episode on a train. Like Cœur ardent, the film has excellent production values and a good strong plot.
