This film details the dismantling of the old railway Siaurukas in Lithuania and the construction of its modern replacement in which the old railway and the new railway become symbols of the clash between archaic rural Lithuania and Soviet industrialization. e lm was often thought to express the archetypes of the Lithuanian character.
