Berthold Viertel, director and scriptwriter in Germany, America and England collaborator of Max Reintardt, Bela Balasz, Murnau, is still quite unknown. Die Perücke, just found by the Nederlands Filmmuseum, makes coexist comedy and drama and shows completely the possibilities of the Austrian author.
