We made it! This year too, for the 26th consecutive edition ‘Sotto le Stelle del Cinema’ will take place, and with a double, open-air venue: Piazza Maggiore and the BarcArena, same free admission, screening time and programming. 

However, in order to enjoy 55 evenings of brilliant cinema, this summer we will have to comply with recent Covid-19 regulations and book our seat in advance.

1 . How can I reserve a free seat in Piazza Maggiore and the BarcArena? Please visit our website www.cinetecadibologna.it  or go to Bologna Welcome (Piazza Maggiore 1/e) Mon-Sat: 10-7pm / Sun 11-5pm

2 . How can I start making reservations? starting starting June 30 for screenings July 4-12; thereafter all screenings can be booked up to 7 days in advance. For same day bookings you must make your reservation by 1pm. Let’s say you’d like to book your seat for screening on July 13: you can do so from July 8th and up until 1pm on July 13th pending seat availability.

3 . How many free tickets can I book? Up to 4, pending seat availability.

4 . Reservations cannot be cancelled or changed so please do reserve a seat only if you intent to come so that others can enjoy the screenings!

5 . Each ticket will assign you a numbered seat and an access point, in Piazza Maggiore there will be four access points: via D’Azeglio; the Nettuno fountain; Palazzo del Podestà/left when facing the screen; San Petronio/right when facing the screen.

6 . Opening Hours and Access: screenings start at 9.30; access will be granted — upon presentation of digital/printout reservation — by 8pm to 9.10pm.

7 . When joining our venues make sure you have a reservation, you are wearing a face mask and you do not have a fever. Walk-ins will not be allowed.
