Cinema Ritrovato is also an extraordinary meeting place where you can listen to great directors like Wim Wenders, Alexander Payne, Costa-Gavras, Marco Bellocchio, Stephanie Rothman, Mohammad Malas, Osama Mohammed, Alice Rohrwacher and Juho Kuosmanen; the director of the Cannes Film Festival and the Institut Lumière Thierry Frémaux; the president of the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia, Sergio Castellitto; and the president of Gaumont Nicolas Seydoux; Michael Rogosin, who will remember his father Lionel on the occasion of the centenary of his birth; Roger Spottiswoode, who will talk about his collabora- tion with Sam Peckinpah; Ousmane Sembène’s editor Kahena Attia who will take part in a discussion on Camp de Thiaroye and pan African cinema. At the end of the festival, the Boarini Awards will be conferred to those who have worked to safeguard and disseminate film history.
