Film Notes

A little girl is sent out in the streets to beg by her unwothy parents, in order that they may satisfy their craving for drink. All day long she importunes the passers by but with scant success. On returning home, she is kicked and buffeted about, and turned into the streets to get more alms. She sees a lady going out in evening dress in her motor-car, and when the car has gone she finds in the road a pearl necklace which the lady has dropped. Ascertaining from the servants at the mansion whither the lady has gone, she pursues her. Meanwhile, the lady has arrived at her destination, and having discovered her loss is distressed by the calamity that has befallen her and begins to cry.
