Film Notes
“A gangster talker too rough, crude and familiar for even a gangster story”. That’s how Variety 5/6/1931) described The Secret Six, one of the best gangster movie of the time.
The film was so crude that it had problems in many States, and in New Jersey it was even prohibited, basically because of a tragic accident: a sixteen years old boy shot and killed his twelve years pal while plyaing the “secret six”.
