Film Notes

This lively comedy in four acts directed with one eye towards the theater (the play on misunderstandings, the uplifting ending) and one towards the cinema (fluid use of flashbacks and the natural setting provided by the views on Rome). Pianist Antonio Zambrini from Milan and percussionist Roberto Dani from Vicenza, both of whom have primarily a jazz background, will accompany the showing. The score is based on original music, some of which will be heard for the first time, some of which is taken from works that have been composed and published in recent years. The cinematographic “adaptation” leaves space for improvisation and impromptu composition.
