“All the films included in the program belong to the Uitkijk collection, which includes all of the avant-garde films from the 20’s and 30’s at Nederlands Filmmuseum.

We talk about more than one hundred films, divided into three groups. The first contains the most famous avant-garde films, by authors as Léger, Dulac, Clair, Ruttmann, Fischinger, Richter, Buñuel e Cavalcanti. The second is formed by films of the Russian avant-garde: Ejzensejn, Dovzenko, Vertov. Finally, the avant-garde documentary, a genre where we can find many Dutch filmmakers: Ivens, Franken, von Baray and many others. In this latter group, we also include the works bt Henry Storck and Jean Dréville”.
