This film, as Transformations amusantes, has been restored by La Cinémathèque Française directly from the original nitrate negative of that time. Once more in this case, as for La Lutte pour la vie, the result is extraordinary. In these last years, the flashing colours of the stencil have been discovered. Through the reprint in black and white, we discover that the photographic quality and the definition of the primitive films were in fact outstanding. For this reason, we believe that some other precious pearls will emerge during the next years from the fund of the negatives of La Cinémathèque Française, and in particular from Pathé’s one.
