An occasion to reflect on the state of film education at the national and international level, thanks to the presence of experts in the field. Various initiatives that have involved educational institutes and members of the general public in charting different paths through the history of cinema will be presented here. There is the Cineteca’s own project (which lends this section its name) as part of the national Cinema e immagini per la scuola plan, which is supported by the Ministero della Cultura and the Ministero dell’Istruzione e del Merito, involves 54 schools across six regions, and will continue throughout the course of the next year. Then there is the CinEd project run by the Cinemateca Portuguesa and financed by Creative Europe – MEDIA, which has been running since 2015 and involves 16 European partners. Finally, there are the programmes dedicated to younger audiences run by the historic Annecy International Animation Film Festival. The event is open to festival pass holders and teachers who are interested in the subject.
