Film Notes

If Anna Christie is famous in its american version, it is not as famous in its german version. Critics say that Feyder’s german version is much better than Brown’s and that Greta Garbo does act much better in german, a language she could speak more fluently than English. For comparison, a short excerpt of the american version will be screened.
