The Cineteca del Comune di Bologna is working on the restoration of this film which is surprisingly modern, for being able to change the Italian tradition of silent narration, going towards what shortly will be the Italian sound films’ style. One of the best example of Augusto Genina’s directions. The Cineteca di Bologna found two prints, one in Moscow at the Gosfilmofond and another at the Cinémathèque de Toulouse. The print that will be screened is a first step in the reconstruction of the film from the two prints, which were originated by the same negative. The reconstruction was made possible by the presence of numbers in the first frame of each shot.
