Film Notes
Una congiura contro Murat is a historical film set during the Risorgimento. We’re in Naples in 1815, and the Republicans are conspiring against Murat, the city tyrant. Among the actors we can see Fernanda Battiferri, debuting in the role of Anna Perugini: «Ms. Battiferri’s interpretation of the difficult character of Anna is truly praiseworthy. She has shown herself an illustrious artist in her languishing abandon and in her moments of furious passion, even more so than in her bursts of hate and rebellion. This can no doubt be attributed to the actress’s young age»
(G. Della Pace, «Il Cinema Teatro», 23/6/1912).
