Il viale della speranza was a story about girls who took the blue tram in via Tuscolana, to Cinecittà, to try their luck in film. I viewed Cinecittà in my own way, with an affectionate sense of humor. There was a very funny scene shot in a boxing gym; there was an acting teacher played by an old actor, Achille Majeroni, who would play the part of the homosexual actor in Fellini’s I vitelloni, an old bag of hot air, questioning a young aspiring actor in a third-rate school, which the cinema world of Rome is teeming with for picking up innocent victims. Migliacci, the aspiring actor, had in fact tried to make it as an actor but who became a famous songwriter. He had a huge nose which he later had reduced…
