Christmas eve. In a large house a sleepless child gets out of bed and goes looking for the presents. This will be the chance for a dream-like trip in which the dolls (little sailors, tango dancers, clowns and monkeys) come to life to play and dance. This is the English version of Il Natale di bebè. In 1931 Carlo Campogalliani had inaugurated the shorts edition department of the Cines-Pittaluga (he was employed as a supervisor) with a few films, amongst which this short. The Italian version of the Pittaluga short came out in cinemas at the end of December 1931. At the same time the short was sold in England to Wardour. Even without the Italian version, we can suppose that the slight internal differences coincide for the most part (apart from the final missing part) with the elision of shots with evident Christmas connotations, removed because the short was distributed in England during the first few months of 1932.
