The restoration is based on a B nitrate negative, severely decomposed, containing parts duplicated in the nitrate era from the A negative and alternate takes; and on a nitrate coloured positive print, partly decomposed, and printed from the A negative, held at the Filmoteca Española. The intertitles - missing in the negative - are reconstructed following the text of the Spanish intertitles and of the original text of D’Annunzio’s tragedy.
