Budapest Classic Films Marathon
2024
The Budapest Classics Film Marathon, an international film festival of restored classics, will take place for the seventh time between 17 and 22 September 2024.
Screenings will take place at the Uránia National Film Theatre, the Toldi Cinema, the French Institute in Budapest and other venues, but there will also be large-scale, unforgettable outdoor screenings in one of the most beautiful places in Budapest: the St. Stephen’s Square in front of the Basilica.
This year’s programme will again feature a number of restoration premieres and film history rarities – with guests, creators and a variety of programmes.
On 19th September, during the FIAF Award Ceremony at Uránia cinema, Wim Wenders will receive the 2024 FIAF Award, following the unanimous decision of the FIAF Executive Committee.
More information on our festival sections can be found on the website.
