Film Notes
In 2022, the Cinémathèque française carried out the restoration of seven vues coloured by stencil according to the Pathécolor process from nitrate prints held in its collections. Like animated postcards, the films show picturesque landscapes in magnificent colours, inviting the viewer to travel to different places in Europe: Clovelly, Copenaghen, Alicante, Elche, Grenade and La Creuse. The 4K digital works were carried out at the Hiventy laboratory with the aim of faithfully restoring the original colours.
