Film Notes
The question of disarmament is raised by the image of the atomic mushroom. In support of the Americans’ “open skies” proposal, the Civici put a Communist speaker and a small town landowner and Eisenhower-supporting family man at a table. The main character decides that the real solution is the freedom to watch over Russia, America and all countries and to take photographs. This time the warning is to be aware of active Communists, who talk peace and don’t realize how closed the skies are beyond the iron curtain.
