An icon of Hollywood cinema, Katharine Hepburn was a surprising and controversial star. She was audacious and unconventional like very few others: hilarious, agile, androgynous and feminine at the same time. She appeared on the big screen for over sixty years, setting a still unbeaten record for Oscar nominations and wins for Best Actress. Her career was more varied than she’s given credit for, but it’s especially in screwball comedies that Hepburn’s talent shines brightest. Today we are finally able to fully appreciate this unique woman who was so far ahead of her time, with a selection of magnificent photographs from major international archives at Caffè Marinetti.
