The animator Costanza Baj will present her debut short (made with Han Tang and Giulia Zanette), Beyond the Fringe, a delicate stop-motion tale starring a paper figure who courageously chooses to go beyond her comfort zone, the notebook where she originated, in order to explore the world. A graduate in set design from the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera, Costanza Baj moved to Barcelona for a masters in animation at BAU – College of Arts & Design and has subsequently worked as a model maker for Irene Iborra’s feature film Olivia y el terremoto invisible. At the festival, she will present a series of shorts by filmmakers who have particularly inspired her.
