An exhibition conceived as a long journey tracing the roots of a literary genius. Through his travels, his manuscripts, the films adapted from his novels, and the photographs he took during his reportages across France, Europe, Africa, across the whole world. We come to know Georges Simenon, creator of Inspector Maigret. He was also the author of the romans durs, a novelist who acted as his own editor, a Liégeois who became a citizen of the world, and a writer who – by searching for his own identity – was able to convey the fears, obsessions, and atmospheres of the Short Century.
