Max Fleischer, with Fleischer Studios, Inc., produced hundreds of films beloved around the world that most people probably first experienced, whether in theaters or on television or video collections, as children. Since 2021, Max Fleischer’s granddaughter, Jane Fleischer Reid, has been leading the effort to restore as many Fleischer films as possible for a digital library, and, most importantly, bring them back to the silver screen for a whole new generation of kids. This selection of family-friendly films highlights all of Max Fleischer’s arts and inventions, and his most popular characters and series: KoKo the Clown, Betty Boop, Popeye the Sailor, and Superman.
