In collaboration with Librerie Coop. Ambasciatori e La Linea
Once again, this year we have selected several recently published books, which we will present together with introductions by authors, curators and special guests. Every evening, in the evocative setting of piazza Re Enzo, critics, scholars, directors and industry professionals will host discussions around the themes and individuals covered in these books, from Michelangelo Antonioni to Sergio Leone (examined from innovative new perspectives), from Fellini’s scriptwriter Tonino Guerra to the great director of photography Tonino Delli Colli. Luciano Tovoli will reveal the secrets behind the unsettling colours of Suspiria and Giuseppe Tornatore will discuss the behind-the-scenes story of his unrealised project, Leningrad. There will also be discussions about the latest evolutions in film criticism and cinephilia, and about the lost art of the ‘cinema painter’. Eight books and eight encounters that should not be missed.
