Film Notes
Few of the 160 films the Film d’Arte Italiana produced between 1909 and 1920 have ever been seen. This film, as with the other F.A.I. films in the program (Lucrezia Borgia, Una congiura contro Murat and, for different reasons, Fiamma Simbolica) can give us a more precise idea of the values of this company: elaborate stagings, great actor performances, pictoricism, and the superb quality of stencil colourings.
