Film Notes

The film’s crew visits German regions where French workers were sent to for the S.T.O. (Berlin, Salzburg, Palatinate, Leipzig). The crew records work scenes in factories, work yards, artisanal workshops, emphasizing the importance of the agreement between France and Germany (to fight the Asian onslaught). French workers are shown being treated well, chauffeured and in comfortable lodging: they are even taught a trade for the future. “Germany, the work site for Europe at war”.
