Film Notes
Lea Giunchi, often paired off with Kri Kri and the witty Gambardella (Checco) and Soderini (Cocò) as sidekicks, was generally involved in acrobatic adventures in no way inferior to the forthcoming Mack Sennett slapstick comedies. In Lea bambola she is the uncontested protagonist in a role that allows her to dress up as a doll, before “turning back” into a woman (a matrimonial stratagem that is as candid as it is exhilarating) and prove herself as an authentically talented comic actress.
