On the shores of the Armorican sea, before the emerald waves, a Parisian couple of lovers, Léonce and Suzanne coo at one another to the murmuring rhythm of the waves. […] «Léonce, I feel like having lobster… Could you catch one for me?» […] Léonce completely disregards the equipment and methods used on the Breton coasts to catch the shell fish, so delicious with mayonnaise. That evening while heading out of town, he is a bit perplexed, asking himself how he will manage to keep his promise. Léonce goes mechanically towards the sea, something completely normal for a person who plans on going fishing, but at the sight of the angry ocean his courage dwindles. […] «But Suzanne must have her lobster!», Léonce tells himself as he wanders through the wind-beaten streets pondering his miserable lot. All of a sudden he stops. He has arrived at the home of Père Legarec, the best fisherman on the entire coast… he’s saved. […]
