Film Notes

By saving on the chase scenes and entrusting destruction of the sets to a single character instead of an angry crowd, Durand manages to obtain multiple effects, with effective results. It takes only one man, who goes politely around to three or four people from the bourgeois class, trying to sell them a lightning rod: but due to a factory defect, the apparatus attracts lightning instead of driving it away.
