Once again, the summer exhibition of original posters that made film history returns to the heart of the city. This year it is dedicated to Renato Casaro (Treviso, 1935), the last star of the greatest era of cinema poster designers. A brilliant artist known for his talent, genuine passion and high professionalism, he transformed a vast number of Italian and international film masterpieces into iconic images with his innovative and straightforward approach, capturing the attention of great directors from around the world. Part of Cineteca di Bologna’s collections, the posters on display include ones originally collected privately by Maurizio Baroni, to whom we are indebted for rediscovering the history and artistic career of the great painters of Italian cinema.
